I thought I was through this, but yesterday saw me looking back at my broken self like an ugly truth. We all have our own share of stories to tell and secrets to keep, but we can't hold onto a memory and choke on it.

On a happier note, I can't be anymore thrilled with the plans my darlings and I have made for the holidays. Hope nothing comes in our way as it has already been almost a year to realising them. This year is going to be so kicking good! Now I'm just going to watch Der Untergang (Downfall) and ignore all the work that is piling up on my desk before merging with my bed. Goodnight!

Today we went to the Botanical Garden after a spontaneous decision and indulged in nature for quite a bit before we headed back to school for our night class. It was nice loosing my mind into whirls of thoughts while wandering about the big park. I haven't had my "me time" since school has started and it was enjoyable, despite the countless of mosquito bites I've encountered. And it was then that I realised I am most happy when I'm in touch with nature. Every single time I walk into the embrace of the greens and water, I feel as though whatever that I've been struggling afloat about is freed.

It started to rain the moment we stepped onto its grounds, making what we have planned to do a lot harder since much of our time was consumed braving through the thunderous rain and trying not to slip while brisking through. Still, it was fun. We hid in the shelters, ate random snacks we've bought on the way and laughed at the lamest jokes ever while waiting for the rain to sizzle down.

A lucky capture because it flew away in a spilt second...

The birds. I secretly think I've got something on with them because for whatever reason it is, I seem to attract them a lot. They followed me wherever I went and it got a little too creepy at some point that my friends and I all ran away. They wouldn't even budge a single bit when I tried to shoo them away by waving my arms so frantically that I reckon I look like an idiot.

After all that screaming and laughing, we went for an early dinner to have our stomach settled before going back for class. We dined at Hatched to satisfy our egg benedict and waffle cravings.

The food wasn't as great as I expected it to be, but that was just me.

Apart from the birds and bad weather, I think it was a great trip. Being away from the urban world can be such a comfort at times...

Bright skies to twilight.

This restaurant, which is my favourite among the many others, is themed based on the good old sixties with all the authentic vintage deco and waiters wearing old school uniforms and shoes. I don't think I'll ever forget that surreal moment when I set foot upon it.

My sister and I were wandering about and gawking at all the details of this place when I found this perfect spot to snap a picture of her.

And that's about the whole of my trip. I'm going to make some tea and then continue with my research before doing a few sketches. Have a nice day, x.

A supposedly blessed harbour for couples. The winds were so strong here that it got my umbrella flying away so quick I couldn't even chase after it.

These were taken outside the temple we visited. And as I thought that nothing here could ever be more intricate and beautifully sculpted, the interior of this massive temple blew me away. From the facade of the old Chinese architecture to the greens surrounding it, and the thoughts and efforts that were put not only into the exterior, but to the interior as well, all was perfect and serene to some extent that I couldn't be more thankful to have visited such an exquisite place.

I never actually thought I would say this, but ever since I visited Taiwan, I think it is a country worth going if you want to lose yourself into the beauty of old architecture and nature.

I'm back from my vacation! And since I've got some time on hand, I shall post some of the pictures I took on the trip. Taiwan has changed so much since the last time I've been there and it was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't actually expecting anything from the trip, thinking it would be rather mundane...but it wasn't. I haven't felt so good and carefree for a long time! From the guided hikes at some mountains to late night shopping at quaint little towns, everything was enough to take my mind off from whatever I was troubled about.

I wonder what this year has in store for me...excited and terrified at the same time. New beginning, new obstacles, new people. I hope this year will be good for all of you. If you get a chance, a new hope, take it. And if it changes you life, let it, and learn.

School is starting in days to come and I'm pretty much looking forward to it...albeit a tiny part of me is still basking in the holiday mood. I'm going to watch a bit of Tudors and read another chapter of Sing You Home before turning in. Goodnight, x.

So much had happened in my journey to growing up that I've come to believe that I am not frail, nor will I ever be. Life is treating me really good these days. I met the girls yesterday for brunch and some shopping, and I bought quite a few stuff to reward myself for slogging away with work for the past few months! I've gotten some new novels, dresses and old films. And other than two or three more things, I am quite done with my to buy list. I'm finally home after such a long day! I just had my supper with Fiona and Linus at a neighbouring coffee shop and am pretty much bloated right now. Work was entirely exhausting and busy today... I only got to eat my lunch at eight in the evening, which was terrible as I've got gastric pains. And on a side note, my insomnia is back, which is really horrible since I've got work on most days. And I refuse to digest any sleeping pill as I've always got this fear of being too reliant on it. So much for not being able to sleep a wink despite being extremely tired...

4:39 A.M. right now and I'm still wide awake having just watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. I finally got my hair snipped off after procrastinating about it for the longest time and am back to my old bob cut, but in a pixie version. Feels so great to not feel the heavy weight on my scalp anymore!

P/S: I'm stumbling on my words, I'm feeling the butterflies... for once, after such a long time, I'm beginning to feel again. Going backwards in time, back to the old memories which I thought have faded away, going back to where I once belonged, I realised I've been missing way too much. Why couldn't you see right through me?

Sometimes I find myself wondering if all that we've had was real. If what I've been holding on for all this time's true. Our friendship, I must say, is unlike what others share, and you know it better than anyone else. It's scary how time passes by so quickly and silently, and the distance between us grows wider and wider bit by bit, without us knowing it. And here I am trying to sort the things I've been keeping deep in my heart for quite some time out. The lonely ride back home just now made me realised a lot of things. Things that I've been missing. Genuine laughter that I haven't had for quite some time.

P/S: I hope this is just another stupid thought that I would be able to dismiss soon after I get over this sensitive and tumultuous phase. I hate how I get all edgy whenever my time of the month comes.

Hello, I'm finally back from my little getaway trip! It's been wonderful. We celebrated Father's day at one of the eateries near our hotel and treated him one of his favourite foods - Pork knuckle. It's nice but a tad too salty for my liking. Anyway, my ring finger's injured with a pretty deep gash. I broke a glass cup and got my finger badly cut and knees scrapped. And now I've difficulty doing simple household chores. But the wounds are healing rather fast so I suppose I'll be okay soon! Hope all is well for everyone of you!

Pardon me for not updating this space for quite some time! The past week was spent doing research on my assignments and projects, making some time for my family to watch a movie and trying to finish a novel with every spare time I have on my hand. Anyway, I woke up this morning feeling groggy after a very short nap as I've stayed up almost all night to finish my sewing. And the rain did not make it better. Trying to balance an umbrella while lugging a big bag filled with books and sewing kit's not fun. And to add on, the train broke down. Oh well... what a way to start my day. But all's well now and I'm pretty excited about the upcoming project! So... wish me luck!

Today's wonderful. I finally got to meet my darlings after such a long time. We did some quick shopping before heading to Won Mi's for dinner. Today I sat by the window and watched the Sun went down while sipping a cup of freshly brewed tea. There has been a lot going on in my life lately and I could hardly find the time to enjoy some peace. There are also too many things running in my mind and I haven't been able to take a breather because of my hectic schedule. My eyes are giving way as I type now. Work was good but a little too tiring for my aching back and strained neck. Yesterday's potluck party at Marshall's was fun. Plentiful of laughter and lively chatter and good food kept me busy. Despite the ominous grey clouds that loomed over the vast sky, everyone had a great time. Oh, and on another note, I woke up this morning happy to see the beautiful sky and its inviting colours. It had rained too much the past week to make me feel gloomy all over.

I miss all the green and nature too! I just watched a documentary on Great White Sharks, Carcharodon Carcharias. I've no idea sharks are sensitive and touchy till now. They are such mesmerizing yet terrifying creatures.

The weather here's great, reminds me of the great time I've spent at Seoul last winter, only that it isn't snowing here, just the strong winds and dull sky. I've got work tomorrow but it's going to be fun since Hetty is working too. I've no idea why I enjoy serving people and being a cashier so much. I am really happy these few days ever since I met Won Mi somewhere near my workplace. I've not seen her for almost two to three years. I really wished that time could just stop ticking that day so that we could talk over coffee, laugh at silly things, and just reminisce the old, and carefree times. So much for growing up so fast and missing the past. Being out of school still makes me feel weird at times. How I really hated wearing the uniform because it's really warm and always dreading school when the sun's sweltering hot. Now, I just miss wearing them. Oh, how I hope I'm still young and naive, how I hope I do not understand the reality of the outside world. Those scheming, braggadocious people, their evil intentions and their plastic smiles and faces. Well, I shan't say anymore or this will become a really wordy post. Got to sleep well to gather up enough energy to go to the sauna tomorrow morning to sweat it all out. Being in the air-conditioned room all the time makes me sick. Goodnight!

I hope you girls feel better after reading this. I'm sure things happen for a reason, be it good or bad, learn from your mistakes and get up with your own feet. Only then will you become a better and stronger person. Because what does not kill you makes you stronger.
